knowledge is power or the less known, the more opnionated?

Once again, I've revisited my favorite lunch time rant - the internet is the final straw in the demise of the English language. And, as often happens, an analogy between pyramids and spear fishing and poetic meter was made. (because we no longer need the knowledge, we know longer remember how it was done)

People lose socks, car keys, train of thought, hope, tickets, their way, but we should not ever lose knowledge. Perhaps, what I should do is read Faerie Queene to my grandchildren. Maybe they will gain the instinct for words.
